Google still Operating in China
After a long time reviewing and considering this, the government finally approved the renewal of China on Google’s license to continue operating in that country. Both parties have renewed the license ICP (Internet Content Provider). “We’re very pleased, China has renewed its ICP license for Google so that we can continue our operations to the users in China,” said Google China spokesman Wang Marsha reported by AFP on Saturday (10/07/2010).
As is known, ICP license becomes a vital thing for Google to be able to operate in countries with a number of internet users reached 400 million people.
According to analysts, this step shows the improvement in the relationship between Google and the government of China, after long arguing that applied because of China’s censorship policies.
The decision by China’s government is providing a positive impact from Google, that is with Google’s stock rising in China amounted to 2.4 percent.
